DISTRIBUTION MODEL INNOVATION

Renewed Literacy and Youth Center is committed to providing equitable and quality education to all children in Uganda, particularly those from underserved communities, bridging the foundational learning gap in underserved schools.

Located in Mayuge District, Eastern Uganda, the organisation utilizes an in-school teacher-led TaRL model to help students in grades 3-6 who struggle with foundational learning skills.

To implement the TaRL methodology effectively, the organisation focuses on building the capacity of teachers through training, providing them with TaRL learning materials, and giving them continuous support.

The ultimate goal is to ensure that the methodology is implemented correctly and with success.

PILOT AND SCALING GOALS

  • Reach 300 learners during the pilot.

  • 270 hours of TaRL engagement during the pilot.

  • Raise an additional $60,000 in funds.
