Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) Education Program
Learn more about the Teaching at the Right Level Challenge and how an evidence-based foundational learning program can improve primary literacy and numeracy in low-resource schools.
DISTRIBUTION MODEL INNOVATION
King ED intends to create a world where Cameroonian children are not just in school, but are in school and learning.
King ED will run the teaching at the Right Level methodology developed by Pratham India to help Cameroon children develop literacy and numeracy skills before they leave primary school. The venture will commence operations at Bamenda in the North West region of Cameroon.
King ED will assess children, place them into levels according to what they know, group them into either homogenous or heterogenous groupings and then teach them using TaRL classroom activities and resources. This proven and highly effective methodology ensures that children at Levels 2 and 3 are not only in school but are effectively learning.
Through the teaching at the right level methodology, King ED will lay a strong foundation for quality education in Cameroon that will serve as one of the drivers that stir the country out of poverty and into development.
The King ED team is made up of seasoned education and language professionals with years of experience in the field. The team is made up of teachers, administrators, linguists and implementors of educational programs in the public and private sectors.
