DISTRIBUTION MODEL INNOVATION

Through the distribution of high-quality affordable off-the-shelf pico lamps, Solivia Energies Limited transforms lives in underserved communities into healthy and self-sustaining households.

Solivia Energies Limited distributes high-quality affordable off-the-shelf pico solar lamps to underserved markets in Northern Uganda through Village Based Advisors – VBAs especially rural women and the youth.

Its distribution model leverages on existing and formation of new VSLAs/ROSCA – Rotating Savings and Credit Associations in remote rural areas to empower households to overcome their financial barriers and have quick and easy access to clean energy.

Solivia Energies Limited partners with the local leaders, the women and the youth in their given communities to sensitize and organize one another to bridge the alarming energy gap in these underserved communities.

The business aims to significantly impact the lives of hundreds of thousands of families by creating employment opportunities for everyone irrespective of their socio-status, fostering household income saving, education, health and overall well-being.

A team of two focused and hard working gentlemen (Conrad and Ronald), and a highly committed young lady (Robinah), Solivia Energies Limited has a wealth of experience in the renewable energy sector (over 10 years combined). Over time, they have established strong partnerships in this sector; civil society, government and private sector that plays a vital role in the success of Solivia Energies Limited. They are greatly poised to work unceasingly hard every day and help underserved communities to overcome the burdening clean energy crisis in their given communities.

PILOT AND SCALING GOALS

  • Directly reach 8,000 Beneficiaries within 3 months.

  • Working with over 30 highly trained and effective VBAs, distribute 2,000 Solar Lamps within three months.

  • Fundraise an additional 18,000 USD from new donors and investors within 3 months.
