ROAD SAFETY CHALLENGE; Ghana

PROVEN INTERVENTION TO BE DISTRIBUTED

Proven sticker model to reduce reckless driving and road traffic crashes.

Learn more about the Road Safety Challenge and how an evidence-based campaign targeting unsafe driving by public taxis can reduce road deaths.

DISTRIBUTION MODEL INNOVATION

Impact Sync advocates for sustainable and safe cities through a collaborative approach between communities and various stakeholders.

The model uses a 3 phase approach where they leverage community engagement to curate messages which resonate with commuters. The messages are then adapted into stickers to be distributed in Trotros (mini buses) across Accra through driver organizations and insurance companies.

Impact Sync’s strategic partnership with TroTro Diaries gives them access to the transport operators unions and the largest public transportation community in Ghana.

PILOT AND SCALING GOALS

  • Using an integrated communication approach, reach 5000 unique beneficiaries within the first three months.

  • Directly distribute 1000 stickers within three months.

  • Raise an additional $5000 worth of support from new donors and partners within the pilot phase.
