DISTRIBUTION MODEL INNOVATION
Prime Biomedical U Ltd’s mission is to increase access to life-saving in remote and peri-urban Health Centres through timely maintenance and repair of oxygen concentrators in Western Uganda.
Prime’s Distribution model will entail the skilling of biomedical technicians based at a central Oxygen hub to implement a timely maintenance plan for oxygen concentrators at health centers in Western Uganda. Oxygen equipment users will also be trained on how to perform basic maintenance practices which go a long way in reducing user error faults to reduce downtime. Prime Biomedical is also uniquely placed to provide these services thanks to the existing capacity and expertise to manufacture some basic oxygen concentrator spares through 3D printing equipment and access to a fabrication lab.
Prime Biomedical was founded in 2017 by Dr. Johnes Obungoloch, Ivan Muhumuza, Leslie Turyahikayo. Ivan serves as the Programs Full-time program
