DISTRIBUTION MODEL INNOVATION
Empower is building a rural distribution platform in India to ensure that products and technologies with the potential to improve lives actually reach rural consumers, at scale. Their customers live in remote, rural villages. In most cases they live in poverty and are engaged in subsistence agriculture or seasonal casual labor.
The innovative Empower solution relies on a digital approach to provide rural villagers with access to products that can improve their productivity and quality of life. Their team finds smartphone users in rural villages and equips them to distribute products and services to their communities.
Their vision is to establish a wide-reaching network of digital agents across rural and remote India to meet the product needs of India’s 800 million rural consumers.
